"Total Recall", a new sci-fi action film, scheduled to be released in the United States and Canada on August 3, 2012, is filming now in Toronto. Lake Shore Blvd has been closed on July 25, 26, 2011, from 5:00 AM to 9:00PM, from Parliament Street to Jarvis Street. Here is the official trailer http://www.welcometorecall.com/
Main action has been going between Parliament St and Sherbourne St. Futuristic, flying, levitating cars and main characters' racing cars have been taking wild turns on this stretch of Lakeshore Boulevard. It was nice to watch dramatic chases, car turning in the curves, and camera crews around them. Exhaust gases, violent shaking of the stunt cars can be seen as the cars and crew trucks accelerate on the highway. The actual cars have been mounted on special trucks, carriers allowing them to look like they are flying. Here are some pics and videos.
